Via the history icon next to a SmartField you can view the current value and previously recorded values of that field.

When the value of a SmartField changes, Nifelo saves the previous value. This way you can see on the product page which values were previously used, when they were changed and from which source they came. Did something go wrong? Then you can easily restore a previous value.

Nifelo stores the history per product and per SmartField. This means you don't have to compare old feeds or import files: you see the previous values, date and source directly in the relevant product field.

If you want to return to an earlier value, you can make it current again. The recovery itself is then recorded as a new history entry.

This is how SmartField history works
Only when a value actually changes does Nifelo create a new history entry. An import where the value remains the same does not add any unnecessary entry.

Good to know
Is history saved with every import?
No. Nifelo only adds a new history entry when the value of a SmartField actually changes. If the value remains the same, no new entry will be added.
What do I see in history?
You see the current value, previous values, the recorded time, the source and the action: changed, cleared or restored.
How many changes are kept?
A maximum of 10 recent changes are stored per product and per SmartField, with a maximum retention period of 12 months.
Can I restore a previous product value?
Yes. From the SmartField history you can reset a previous value as the current value. Nifelo also keeps this recovery action in history, so that it remains visible what has changed.
Is this a copy of every full import?
No. SmartField history consists of changes to individual product fields. They are not full import snapshots or versions of the entire product.
